Spending Money
Team members should bring extra spending money for rest stops on the way to/from the regatta and also for Saturday night dinner (we plan to have the team eat at an open food court with many options) The team should also bring money if they plan to shop at the many vendors set up at SRAA Nationals.

Luggage & Thursday dress
Rower's luggage will be loaded onto the bus Thursday morning. Rower will NOT have access to luggage until check-in at the hotel. Everyone
should board the bus dressed to row, with crew bag as needed. Bus will go directly to water for unloading, rigging and a practice row.

Team Dinner
We will have a team dinner (included in fees) Thursday and Friday night at the team tent on Thursday and at the hotel Friday. Chaperone, volunteers, parents are included in this dinner.

Transportation
We will provide transportation via vans driven by parents/chaperones to and from the regatta for rowers and coxswains. Per FCPS regulations, no rowers will be allowed to drive to or from the regatta in a car driven by anyone other than their own parents, another rower’s parents (with written permission from their own parents) or by a vehicle driven by a designated chaperone.
*Rowers are welcome to make the return trip to McLean with their parents ONLY after being released by their COACH (shell/gear loaded for return to McLean) AND checking out in person with their CHAPERONE.
Notifying the school about May 25 and 26 absences
Rowers should give all teachers advance notice regarding their absence from school for the Regatta. The roster will be provided to the attendance office. McLean High School Administration, guidance and teachers will review/approve (or disapprove) the rower absences in advance of our trip.
Parking and More at Nationals
The address for the venue is
Oak Ridge Rowing Association
687 Melton Lake Drive
Oak Ridge, TN 37830
Nationals is in a more suburban area and parking is much easier than at Stotes. For more information on the regatta, schedule, race course and more go to: Home - SRAA (https://www.sraa.net/home.html)
There is plenty of street parking on Melton Lake Drive, which is right next to the boathouse.
