
The 2022 SRAA Nationals will take place on May 27 and 28 on Cooper River, Camden, NJ. Three McLean Crew boats qualified at the May 7 and 14 Virginia Scholastic Rowing Championships at the Occoquan States, and our petition for a women's Junior 8 was also accepted.

Any remaining food from tent sent with rowers on bus, or bus will make stop for fast food on the way home. Rowers should bring money for this just in case.
Bulk water will be available at the food tent. Rowers and family members should bring their reusable water bottles.

MEDICAL (AS NEEDED): SE-63 Medical Authorization Form - To be completed for any student needed to bring other prescribed or over-the-counter medicine. Required - bring printed medical form inside a gallon-sized plastic bag with the medicine:

Spectator Lodging
A limited number of rooms at a discounted rate are available for parents attending but not chaperoning. Single Rooms $120, Double Bed Rooms $125, plus applicable taxes

Luggage & Thursday dress
Rower's luggage will be loaded onto the bus Thursday morning. Rower will NOT have access to luggage until check-in at the hotel. Everyone
should board the bus dressed to row, with crew bag as needed. Bus will go directly to water for unloading, rigging and a practice row.

Team Dinner
We will have a team dinner (included in fees) Thursday and Friday night, at the hotel. Chaperone and coach meals are covered. Spectator parents who would like to attend can do so for $25. Please pay here and email regattachair@mcleancrew.org to add your name to the list so we get a final count for food.

Transportation
We will provide bus transportation to and from the regatta for rowers and coxswains. Per FCPS regulations, no rowers will be allowed to drive to or from the regatta in a car driven by anyone other than their own parents, another rower’s parents (with written permission from their own parents) or by a vehicle driven by a designated chaperone.
*Rowers are welcome to make the return trip to McLean with their parents ONLY after being released by their COACH (shell/gear loaded for return to McLean) AND checking out in person with their CHAPERONE.
Notifying the school about May 26 and 27 absences
Rowers should give all teachers advance notice regarding their absence from school for the Regatta. The roster will be provided to the attendance office. McLean High School Administration, guidance and teachers will review/approve (or disapprove) the rower absences in advance of our trip.
Parking and More at Nationals
Nationals is in a more suburban area and parking and logistics is much easier than at Stotes. For more information on the regatta, schedule, race course and more go to: https://www.sraa.net/regatta-site.html
There is a big parking lot near the river but it will fill up quickly. It is the same lot that the chuck wagons will be in. It does empty out and fill up as the day goes on. There is plenty of street parking as well. Below there is an address to the venue as well as course information. Here is a link to the Map for parking:
