And a message from our fearless Erg-a-thon Leaders:
Many hands make light work. Thank you to everyone who leaned forward to make the Ergathon an awesome success! Having said that, even though we crushed our goal, I believe there is always room to improve for the next event – be it a regatta or a fundraiser. In order to improve, we need to identify where we have the opportunity to make changes. I cannot see all of those places from my vantage – I need your help.
So, while it is still fresh in your mind, would you please take a few minutes to help McLean Crew by highlighting those areas where we have an opportunity to improve next year? I encourage you to be very forthright. Fear not – I spent 25 years getting very direct and unblinking feedback on every single flight in the Navy (that means I have a pretty thick skin) I truly hunger for honest feedback as I believe it is the best and shortest path to long strides forward!!
I still have 10 pair of socks ($15 each) and MCC tote bags ($10 each). Email/Text me directly until we get the online store updated. Brett.Korade@PenFedRealty.com 703-321-6994
Now for some adminstrative business - attached the the latest Fundraising report, including all activities during the Winter Fundraising events through the evening of January 23rd.
THANKS so all of your/your rower's hard efforts for selling trees/ice melt and fundraising efforts! We are on track to met our fundraising budget. IF you have donations you have not remitted, please make payment arrangements:
It would be easiest for all to pay online, with paypal or credit card. Follow the Erg-a-thon Link to donate and include rower's name in the checkout screen.
If you want to pay with check, then please either:
Put into the Crew mailbox in the Student Activities office (around the corner from the lecture hall - not the main office),
or let us know you are mailing to the PO Box 7104, McLean VA 22106-7104
or, you could also drop by/mail to our treasurer, Lisa Hilliard 1710 Strine Drive in Mclean
Remember any shortfall from the $300 Winter Fundraising must be remitted to remain in "good standing" and participate in practices. If you have any questions or concerns about your fundraising balance, please respond to this email.
A huge MCC THANK YOU to Brett and Lisa Korade for the creative mastery organizing such a well-run event that created a fun atmosphere for all involved - the organization was impressive and organized most of our rowers and many parents on a beautiful Saturday, that also raised some nice bonus cash! Thank you to all who participated on Saturday, coming together to work as a team!
Thank you again for pulling together for a successful Winter Fundraising season!
