1. Join/Renew USRowing, as Individual/Athlete

  • Basic membership is $15

  • Use McLean Crew Club Code MV7JG

2. From your USRowing Member Portal, click the SafeSport icon on the bottom left. 

Rowers ages 18 & up including any one who will turn 18 during the season:
Take SafeSport Abuse Prevention for Adult Athletes. (30 minutes)

 

Rowers 17 & younger:
Take SafeSport for Youth Athletes
(15 minutes)

Result

Confirmation tracked by MCC Coaches.

Required before rower can compete in regattas.
 

Rowers will be in compliance with Required USRowing SafeSport Training

SafeSport Training

New Parents:
1.Create a new account at Safesport.org.

2. Take SafeSport Trained Core

(90 minutes / $19.99

​

Returning Parents:
Login to existing SafeSport account and take SafeSport Refresher 1: Recognizing & Reporting Misconduct (30 minutes /$9.99)

Once completed, email your training certificate to: vpadmin@mcleancrew.org

Be trained to keep rowers safe in accordance with USRowing & MCC Policy

ALL Rowers AND Parents MUST review the policy and sign the waiver in STEP 8

Complete and Sign ALL Required Forms:

 

  • McLean Crew Participation Form: Sign after Step 4

  • McLean Crew Membership Agreement: Read carefully it has the dues information. 
    Only one parent needs to start this process and if you have followed bullet 1 correctly, the document should automatically be emailed to your athlete and significant other once you complete all your signatures. 

  • MAAPP Waiver: Sign After Completing Step 7

  • Parental Authorization for Field Trip

  • Field Trip Luggage Form

  • Weight Room

  • Driver and Vehicle Insurance

  • Student with Student Driver Permission

Please check carefully that you signed all the documents. The cursor tends to move down after you enter your signature and skips to the next signature. You may need to go back up into a document.
