Transportation:  

Our club does not provide transportation to local regattas. Carpooling is recommended as parking is limited. The distance to Georgetown Waterfront is about 13 miles and a 25 min. drive without traffic. 

​

Arrival Times: 

Arrival times at local regattas will vary for both rowers and coxswains. Coaches typically have their boat line-ups completed Wednesday evening; the regatta schedule is typically released on Thursday. It is important that all rowers and coxswains arrive on time, or their boat will be disqualified and they will not be allowed to row.  Coaches will advise the athletes of their arrival times once the boat line-ups are finalized and the regatta schedule is released.

Approximate Regatta Event Timing:  8am - 12pm


Regatta Schedule (aka Heat Sheets): 

The regatta schedule is typically released a day or two before the event. Click the Heat Sheet link above (top of page) for the schedule. Results may not be posted officially until after the event. 

Food Tent: 

The McLean Crew food tent provides food for athletes throughout the day at all local regattas at no charge Parents may find the tent and sit near it as space allow. No parents in the team tent and please do not bring any food to share with the team. Our food tent provides coach-approved food and serves as a gathering place for athletes before/between races. Athletes are responsible for setting up, cleaning up, and breaking down the team tent. Bring layered clothes and a chair/blanket for the tent area.

NOTE: Lunch will be served in the tent immediately following the regatta which will include Chicken Salad Wraps, Big Boat Nachos, and Pasta Salad.

​

Water: 

Athletes must bring their own water bottles. There is running potable water onsite for refills. 

​

Parking: 

Spectator parking: There is no parking for spectators or parents in the TBC lot. It is reserved for trailers and officials. Public
parking is available along Water street and in garages in Georgetown. See nearby parking options on the Printable Fact Sheet at the link above (top of page).

Spectator Viewing: 

You can view the race from the steps near our tent or on the wooden dock. 

  • All sidewalks and walkways must remain unobstructed

  • No chairs, tables, or other objects may be placed in landscaped areas.

  • No dogs or alcohol allowed.
