GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Tuesday March 9, 7:30 pm in MHS Cafeteria

The monthly parents' meeting for McLean Crew Club will be held tomorrow evening.  Please plan to attend the meeting and sign up for volunteer positions for the mulch delivery weekend, March 20-22.
In addition, please plan to pay the 3rd and final dues installment at the meeting.  All rower/coxswain families should have paid all dues for the year owed to the Club by the March 9 meeting.  Please also be sure and turn in any forms that your rower/coxswain may be missing.  Now that rowers have started training on the water it is important that all the forms are in place. You can find the forms here. Rowers/coxswains are not allowed to compete in the regattas unless all forms are turned in.

MULCH SALE

Now on!

Order now - delivery weekend of March 20-21

In 2009 the McLean Crew team had winning performances at the Virginia Scholastic Championships and high placings at the National Championships and had 2 boats named in the Washington Post's “All-Met” Best Boats. The Club has two former team members who represented the US on the Olympic Rowing Team. We look forward to building on these past accomplishments, and expect to be highly competitive in the 2010 season. Order now and keep this winning team afloat.

SIGN YOUR WAIVERS!

Rowers, Coxwains and Parents

In order to row in VASRA events each rower, coxwain and their parents need to have completed and signed a waiver. Go to signyourwaiver.com to complete the forms. Each rower and coxwain needs to list McLean as their affiliation.  Boys should use Bobby Meeks' info for the coach and the girls should use Chris Gordon's info.

In addition, for regattas like Stotesbury and Mercer Sprints, specific waiver forms should be signed. For Stotesbury, click here to download and print the form. For the Lake Mercer Sprints, go to this web page and follow the instructions for signing online. Chris will have the roster code when he registers McLean for the race.
For these non-VASRA events everyone should list Chris as the coach as the account is in his name. For more info go to regattacentral.com.

A note from Michael K. Mutter, Vice President of Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association:
Here are a few important things to know about signing your waiver online:

  • Please provide accurate information including your current team affiliation and unique email address for each athlete (you cannot reuse addresses, a valid and unique email address is required for every athlete that submits a waiver). We will be careful how we use this information. One intended use is to have contact information in the unlikely (and I hope never encountered) event of an emergency. Therefore accuracy of this information is important.

  • When asked during the application process, we recommend you provide the email contact for you current team representative or coaching contact. This is NOT required but is helpful in that we will automatically add your name to that team rep/coaches online roster. This simplifies tracking of the rosters of our member teams.

  • Once you complete the process, you can ALSO print out a completed waiver for you records. You can also use this print waiver for events that require you to provide them with a paper waiver copy.

Once you have completed a waiver, many athletes and parents want to check to see if the waiver has been signed correctly. You can check your waiver status at any time by going to "check waiver status". Important, if you have incorrectly signed your waiver you can make any corrections by going to your MyRonin account and edit your waiver registration.
